Push Pull Rods

12-21-12

Believe it or not I have been working on the Helicycle.  A little at a time.  I had to figure out how to polish the push-pull rods.  I made more work for myself when I drilled the holes for the control plugs.  I scratched up the ends pretty bad and it took a lot of sanding and polishing to make them look somewhat reasonable.  I bought several polishing wheels for my grinder and three different pastes.  The final step was using Mother’s aluminum polish so they look ok.  I then had to reinstall the control plugs.  Finally, I installed the rods on the ship.  I also polished the cyclic walking beams and they turned out ok too.  Merry Christmas to all and have a Blessed new year.
